Romans Chapter 8 and verse 8

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

THE BODY OF CHRIST…………………………GUILT………………….. where is the correlation?

Do me a tiny favor, stop reading this post, take a minute to browse out a little on scandals relating to Christians, my oh my!!….you indeed will be heart broken…….

I understand that there is a need for correction and chastising but there is also a fine line between correction/rebuke/chastisement and an outright condemnation…..

Let us take instances from the Bible and then instances from our daily lives, things we see every day.

The Story of the prostitute

John 8:1-11 New Living Translation (NLT)

A Woman Caught in Adultery

8 Jesus returned to the Mount of Olives, 2 but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them. 3 As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd.

4 “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?”
6 They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. 7 They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!”8 Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust.
9 When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. 10 Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?”
11 “No, Lord,” she said.
And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”

Very interesting story right….. now can we observe that it was not just any kind of persons that wanted to stone her, they were the teachers of the law, the custodians of Gods word……. ‘the Body of Christ’ if i might add….

So i beg to ask , who has sent us Christians on this ministry of condemnation………?

Okay lets come down to our daily lives, and just check yourself, have you ever condemned that sister with tattoos and piercings or that brother that smokes, the one who just came out of the abortion clinic or the one who was found sleeping with other men…………………….

or even in your profession as a nurse or a doctor, or a pastor, a teacher… when people come to you with their stories that should deserve condemnation by human standard…., do you condemn them, maybe by the way you stare at them, or the way you address them…

I personally have been a victim of condemnation.. You see I used to have about seven piercings on my ear, and I dyed my hair blonde…..i love the crazy, very little about normal freaks me……. .so I wasn’t deserving of being called “sister Joy”… I wasn’t fit for the kingdom by their standards

it did affect me a bit, but you see I have a relationship with Christ, a solid one we are building, if I must say😉😉, no longer a baby Christian who can easily be swayed… But then a lot of people are not, they Prolly just found Christ and are still struggling with their flesh and all we do is condemn and tear them down, making them feel more unworthy than they already are, and unconsciously pursing them into the arms of the devil, who! Mind you is very happy and willing to cage them back🤔😫…

So why then are we on this earth? after salvation, God should have just taken us to heaven if all we are here to do is just repopulate the kingdom of hell…

Ahhh!!!! God forbid……

We were never called to that ministry, but God has called us to a Ministry of “RECONCILIATION ”

2nd Corinthians 5:17[a] The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

And we can’t reconcile whom we condemn!  can we?

Cause condemnation simply put is… You are not fit or you are unworthy and thus guilty and convicted!!

So can we please and please be conscious and sensitive enough to stop it, and be about the Father’s business, even without carrying your bible, Just give Love, understanding, correction in love, be patient, be strict if necessary but from a place of love, just as Jesus would…..

This has been a burden in my heart for sometime now, you go online and you see Christians in wars against themselves verbally and the saddest part, they use the bible as their weapon…. oh come on please…..

In all of Jesus’s work/walk on this earth i never observed an argument,  desire to show off one’s so called knowledge, talk more of condemning…. so who are we emulating?

Am done…… i earnestly hope it touches a place in your heart.

AS always i love you so much and see you in my next blog-post…. please drop a comment a question or even an experience of being condemned… xoxo

Is Christianity boring??! 😒

I’ll try not to be bias and do my best to be as truthful and as transparent  as possible…..

Not jumping the gun, what exactly is Christianity? ………”daaahhh!! its the act of being a christian right ?!”   Lol okay then who is a christian?

Let us go through a very brief history class…………….. According to the Holy Book referred to as the Bible, the first gentile church was founded in Antioch, Acts 11:20-21, where it is recorded that the disciples of Jesus Christ were first called Christians.

So what qualifies a person to be tagged or recognized as a Christian?

In classical times the followers of a leader would identify themselves by a descriptive extension to their leader’s name…… CHRIST….. CHRISTIANS

Well simply put, it is to be like Christ Jesus in character, thoughts, heart, action, carriage, even down to ones dressing( now don’t get me wrong, i don’t mean wearing the long gowns Christ Jesus wore while on the earth, but in the decency of ones appearance)  etc……………………………., for example, if you are familiar with His train of thoughts, action, speech through maybe studying His word and then come across a person who has a similar train of thought, actions etc, you are most likely to assume, inquire or conclude that that person is a christian.

I would like to take the phrase “being a christian” a little deeper, because its truly not just about  being like a certain person but it goes deeper into knowing the person of Jesus Christ, knowing why He was on earth(purpose), believing in the works He performed, and then accepting Him as your personal Lord and Savior, handing over the wheels of your life to Him.

So to the main reason why i’m writing this post, is Christianity boring?

Truthfully Christianity may seem boring if and only if you have truly not encountered Christ Jesus, if you were merely just born into a christian household, and have grown up seeing Christianity more as a religion than an intimate relationship between yourself and Christ Jesus or if you have genuinely not handed over your whole being  to Christ Jesus……………….Yes it will definitely feel boring, hard and restricting.

I personally struggled with being a christian all my teenage life and a little into my youth age, as i genuinely surrendered my life to Christ in my 100 level of university, June 13th 2011 to be precise

I remember vividly one time my mom was helping me pack my bags for school and she kept putting in my bible and i kept removing it, on the grounds that there wasn’t enough space to put in other important stuffs, lol!!! i was truly not bothered about Jesus Christ or what He had to offer.

If you want to enjoy being a christian, my honest advice would be …

  • sincerely let go of the cares of the world.  James 4:4 (GOD’S WORD® Translation)
You unfaithful people! Don’t you know that love for this [evil] world is hatred toward God? Whoever wants to be a friend of this world is an enemy of God.
  • Stop playing religion, earnestly desire an encounter with Jesus Christ. Isaiah 55:6-7
Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

  • Hand over every area of your life to Him….. i personally didn’t do this when i first gave my life to Christ, i handed over my academics, health, family over to Him and held unto my love life , finance, my will, my dreams, ohhhh! Jesus had no say in those areas, i wouldn’t listen. I did end up with loads of heart breaks, and a whole lots of being broke, loosing funds one way or the other….. and so on.
  • Desire His presence more than His presents….. understanding that Gods presence is an embodiment of presents…. you truly don’t need to be seeking His gifts so much as the bible says in  Matthew 6:33The Message (MSG)30-33 “If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

So here’s my conclusion based on my experience and journey with Christ Jesus, being a Christian is anything but boring, if you get it right. Accepting Christ and His finished works(salvation) is definitely the best thing that has ever happened to me, Jesus is my best friend, my Helper, my Father.

Don’t let the world deceive you, Christianity is on point.

Thank you for reading…. and see you in my next walking with the Father of light series…. xoxo…

AMP:For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled, bewildered]. I do not practice or accomplish what I wish, but I do the very thing that I loathe [which my moral instinct condemns].

Romans 7: 15

This was Apostle Paul talking, he was talking  about what majority  of Christians are passing through then , now and even in times to come,  some  more than others,  but all the same we passing through it…. I am passing through  it,  and trusting  God to come to the stage “where I do that which I ought to do and not do that which I ought not to/hate to do.”

Do I have a formula to it,  nope!!!  I’m still  at the feet of the Master waiting/ learning, some times rising and falling and trusting that in due season this tests will turn to testimonies, but I will tell you what I have learnt and still learning….

1) God loves us sooo much…  It’s overwhelming… and our deeds does not reduce His love for us.

2)Our sins and misdeeds only disconnects us from our Father as He cannot stand/behold sin,  but it does not,  and I repeat  IT DOES NOT stop His love for us,  HE really doesnt’t care about the Depth or strength  of the misdeeds…  He misses you and longs to fellowship with you .

3) The devil’s strategy has always been to break of the fellowship  between man and his Creator…  I was taught in school of discipleship  that the BATTLE CRY OF THE DEVIL is to break the fellowship.. …  Now knowing that this is what the devil  desires……….

4)When you fall/ if you fall… fall to the Father  of light, don’t be like Adam who hid himself from the Father when he fell…. no no no!!!, run back to the Father,  no matter what happens, do not run from the Father…

This is what the Father is saying to you..

AMP:Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]

Hebrews 4: 16

I just love the amplified version…  Do you see that this verse is not referring to unbelievers but to us who have been saved…  (I am dancing in the spirit)…  Oh trust me Jesus Christ knowwwss, He knows and He is telling you,  come BOLDLY, COME TAKE WHAT YOU NEED TO HELP YOU EVEN IN TIMES TO COME… HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT…

5) Develop your relationship  with. The Father….  I’ll give an analogy  and wrap up.

Two sons and a father…….

FIRST STORY:  Joseph and Benjamin are the sons and Jacob is their father,  now Joseph developed his relationship( I will  post a blog on how and what to do,  to develop our intimacy with God the Father) with his father and he was his father’s beloved, they were soooo  close..  And one day Joseph took his dad’s  money without permission…. When his dad returned home,  Joseph  ran to his father  so remorseful and blessed for mercy,  now even though his father felt hurt,  because he ran back and confessed he was forgiven even though greatly chastised ….  Now  on the other hand Benjamin was not close  to his father,  he had an illusion that his father was a strict man,  now whenever Benjamin  did bad,  he would be so scared, he would run and hide… And when his dad  would find out… He would be sooo  upset and punish him so hard….  making his already existing illusion of a wicked and strict father stronger than before….. thereby pushing him further away from his father (the devil’s  battle cry)

SECOND STORY: are we  familiar with the story of the prodigal son?!! Like 15: 11-32!…  Have you ever wondered the  type of relationship between this  father and son to give the son the IMPETUS to request for his share of his father’s wealth? Even while his father was alive …  They must have been really close…  Now the other son was basically  in the background  through out the story and to me he was not close to his father either…  Back to the prodigal son,  he had done a great wrong..  But He knew his father,  he knew the relationship  he had with his father,  and that gave him the boldness to run back to the his father to receive  mercy .

The summary of this stories is that when  you develop your intimacy  with the Father,  when you understand that He understands and wants to help you.. When you really come to the understanding  that He gave His only begotten son…  That your Father  who is slow to anger….  It gives you the boldness to run to HIM
